time will tell

i forgot since when i stopped wearing wrist watches. i used to acquire quite a number of the more masculine types (but not the ginormous ones). i think it could be when many of them stopped working and then i gradually relied on cellphones. i still keep some of the watches, for sentimental reasons, and a coupla them look great as bangles.

apart from being weaned off wearing wrist watches, i've become too lazy to bother with traditional leather buckle types. i do still love a good ol' steel face with tan leather straps - so classic. but the klutz in me dictates that i must give them up or risk dropping them at great heights while i mouth off. nobody wins.

and then i got bored with the bracelet types. or maybe i've never fallen out of love with those that're still with me so nothing has impressed me enough to buy it. ok there's this Rolex that's really unique but i'll just dream about it. if i were rich, i'd go for other vintage timepieces first (yup, dream on).

so, what's the point of this entry? i just wanna show these 2 watches that i got over 3 days. i love that they don't run on battery. i like to milk every cent out of consumer products, so these would serve as necklaces when i forget to refer to them for time. the gold one is a pocket watch.

note to self: select "beach" mode for vintage-y pictures.

Like drollgirl, I'm a slave to the wrist watch... I never take mine off (it's with a stainless steel wristband and goes with everything). I used to have some vintage gold ones for the neck as well... I love them. Nice collection you got there! And I would definitely use them as necklaces as well.

You have a pretty vintage collection, Miss Tom Tuttle from Tacoma.
I wear more a wrirst wratch (bangle) but take it only with me to my job. When I´m back home I don´t wear it ;)

Enjoy your day with lots of sun and relaxing moments!!!
