i have this unexplainable gravitation towards YSL cosmetics. maybe it's because of my late-bloomer years reading makeup glossies such as allure. i tried to collect many issues but have since lost them all. i remember how i'd chase after some of the HGs then, checking out MUA and swapping and all that (do you know what they stand for?). squandered a fortune away! my weakness then was lip glosses especially those in pots. oh wait, i think foundations were my downfall too. haha. i forgot since when i terminated the obsession. now it's my turn to smile knowingly as i see younger women discussing about makeup and such. this ad from 1989 remains vivid in my memory bank. ironically i owned only one orange YSL lipstick and that was just a few years back (it was on clearance sale at one of those perfume stores). the prices of cosmetics have since gone up tremendously through the years. i was once again drawn towards these girly things recently, especially YSL and Dior. i guess it's restlessness again. these days, i use tinted lip balms and drugstore lipsticks only. i also reminiscence fondly those old eyeshadow quads by Chanel. they're really good.

i should stop using that YSL lipstick already but i'm keeping it for the packaging. i'm more of a practical person so i don't understand why i'm a sucker for form over function. it's like that for nail polish and cellphones. haha. ok, back to my books.

november rain

went to watch TONE. i quite enjoyed it. i didn't always enjoy a cappella, tbh.

watching them reminded me of myself: of dreams unfulfilled. of passions lost.

the dress was on sale and it's the only one left - in L size. i almost wanted to wear my rebecca taylor's beige gloves. i think they're too large. haha. iirc they're also the last pair available then, when i was in tokyo.

i really wish i could do more with my hair. i suspect the problem's me. i tried to copy this but Failed.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

i turned in one of the two assignments at that time. one more to go.

^shapeless w/o the help of an outerwear. the romper's a bit big on me, actually.

^logo overload. lol.

it wasn't intentional. i got the bag quite sometime back and never got to wearing it. the wallet's the result of the nagging of the well-meaning friend who took me around in tokyo. i told my colleagues this bag's uesless to me. i don't carry much stuff so this should work. but i cannot stand to have to adjust my klutziness around it. thank goodness it can accommodate the wallet but my phone pouch has to stay home and it's a tight squeeze for my 老人卡. at this rate, no wonder such bags don't hold their structure very well over time. i imagine it's the same for H bags. this shall be my last expensive structured bag. i don't even know why i'd buy the bag. the money can certainly be put to better use. another friend was just telling me she saw on FB the high number of bags a girl bought from her US trip. "how many bags do we need?", she asked. bingo. we don't need much at all. surely we already knew that. she never used any branded bags until recently and she went on a mini spree for Kate Spade bags. i could see a common thread binding us. the chanel bag was definitely acquired at a time when i was feeling restless. i didn't even look at it after i took it home. and so is the fate shared by my eight bbags. if not for school, the two works won't have seen the light of day.

yet i found myself lusting for the sahara velo on hgbagsonline last night, when i was supposed to be doing homework. i wasn't boasting here, if you really got my drift. just how many bags do we want?
