"The clock is on the stroke of eleven, sir."
"No matter -- I'm not accustomed to go to bed in the long hours. One or two is early enough for a person who lies till ten."
"You shouldn't lie till ten. There's the very prime of the morning gone long before that time. A person who has not done one half his day's work by ten o'clock runs a chance of leaving the other half undone."

i am not really a morning person (AT ALL), but it is very true that getting up early leads to a lot more accomplishment in the day. or at least i think so?

Hanh,
Thank you for your comment on my 9-11 post. It was very interesting to hear how it is viewed in another country.
It was sort of interesting to watch the progression of the American people as far as 9-11 was concerned. Right after it happened it seemed as though American and Americanism was stronger than ever. We all banded together and there was a united sense of patriotism. Everyone had a flag in front of their house, everyone had a flag or ribbon magnet on their car, the song "Proud to be an American" was heard on many radio stations many times a day. But, as time wore on all of these things wore away. To the point where now on my facebook I'm seeing comments such as "I forgot today was even 9/11" or "I'm tired of this 9/11 depressing-ness on my TV!" That one especially got me straight through the heart. Well of course it is depressing, too many people lost their lives unjustly that day.
So I guess Americans are slowly forgetting, or slowly beginning to not care anymore at all. Or at least the Americans my age. I think most Americans my age forget we are even at war these days.
However many communities hold tributes and memorial services so it is not completely forgotten. However I live in New Jersey only about an hour away from NYC so we were a little more immediately effected by the tragedy. I couldn't tell you how it is remembered out in middle America.
Phew, that was long, but hopefully I answered your question and thank you so much for answering mine!
