the L word

nope. not that but:

leaders - boldly seeking out their market share with innovation and creativity.

learners - more cautious about change, but drawing on lessons from successes and failures of others.

laggards - cautious to the point of inaction in some instances, fearful of abandoning core competencies and products for a clearly undefined world.

above are "three distinct strategic styles" identified by Everette E. Dennis in a study about "finding the right digital strategy" for the television industry in the current converged media landscape (i still suck at paraphrasing!).
