decide to decide

thanks for taking time to comment on my last post, ladies. the story had nothing to do with fried chicken. you see, i turned chicken and fried my hair instead of chopping it off as i said i would.

and the locks coudn't decide to behave the same even on the same day. i wash my hair daily. i think the perm's gonna die quick this time. i couldn't decide if i liked the 'new' do, especially the partial fringe that's a lil wispy. i was still wishy-washy when i visited my stylist. i told her ok my problem was the flatness on the top of my hair and then left it all to her and she didn't perm the parts when i needed volume, haha. don't you dread that moment leading up to the reveal? i groaned when i saw my flat long fringe and then the curls. i told her i looked the same! she then asked if i wanna take some of the long fringe off for a change. it's really a day of indecision for me. bleh. anyway, i let her cut off my precious fringe and regretted it as soon as it's gone.

i guess she knew me well enuf to know i might not like a curly fringe (read: aunty). on hindsight, maybe i could've asked for a root perm (if my understanding of this perm is correct) and have the whole head curled, long fringe included? i have a shallow forehead and i have a cone head. not a swell idea, perhaps? i'll know for my next hair makeover.

i should be glad that i got mostly +ve comments from my colleagues. i got not a few "you look younger" and i confess it's not something i'd jump with joy to. lol. i just wanna look nice, not younger. looking nice and looking younger could be mutually exclusive, no? lol.

^ i didn't use this belted combo. was just playing around. i'm glad i got this outerwear. i almost didn't, if not for my colleague who stopped by the flea stall for something and the smart boss recommended it to her and which turned out to be more my style than for my colleague. the dress is the same one worn here, the one under the green cape. i really like the vintage orange bruno maglis.

i have to admit that i didn't know why the previous post was called fried chicken! thank you for explaining it!!!

the hair thing is so tricky. my lady does my hair so great, i tell her i can't do it, and she brushes that aside. ugh. then we do it all again in a month or two. right now it is awful and i need some magic to fix it and a DO-ABLE HAIRCUT THAT DOESN'T HANG TO HEAVY AT THE CROWN OR IN MY FACE. you know! gah. it is all so tricky!

p.s. i don't think you look bad at all! i think you are rather lovely.

oh! and thank you for your sweet comment. i am so relieved and that feels really, really nice.

I think your hair looks wonderful in these pics! I can't really see it in detail but the shape is very flattering.

Can't see clearly but I think your hair now has more volume which is good! maintaining permed hair is a chore but I realised that it became easier to style than before.

and i love this outfit!

I definitely think the perm gave your hair more texture, nothing too drastic, it's good! Where's your cardigan from? It's such a nice flattering shape. Like the belt combo actually, the three colours go so well together!
