today's the official start date of the transformation at my organisation. we spent the 2nd half of the day at the Jurong Bird Park. for most of us, things would remain status quo. meaning our jobs would still be the same. as for me, i've been getting mixed messages. i'll know more soon, in a few days, when i meet with my new reporting officer. i got a feeling i'd be expected to double-hat...
we had some external customers in the morning, that's why the all-black getup (i wore a jacket). i just couldn't get any better photos. i didn't plan this outfit. i hadn't the remotest idea how i'd wear the vest when i considered buying it. i guess the safest way is to wear it tone-on-tone, and play with textures.
does anyone know about the history of vests? why're some cropped so high? what's their function? might as well not wear any, you don't think? lol. i remember back when cropped short-sleeved cardigans were the rage (can't recall which year it was, though). i didn't catch on the craze. strange, considering i loved the cropped tops of my time (when i was in my teens and i'm not telling you my age but i probably have leaked this detail somewhere in cyberspace). but. cropped tops are not cropped vests. i guess that's why? lol.

i like the dress, and it looks fab with the little vest!
i hope your job is safe. one of the shitty things about layoffs and downsizing is some get the boot, and those that get to keep their jobs get to do two jobs. or three. GRUMBLE GRUMBLE.
haha looking gd in that cropped vest :)
