摆乌龙

so we're moved into the "swing space" starting today so that the existing space would undergo renovation and then we'd swing back there in a coupla months. the temporary space is on the 3rd level; we were on the 7th previously. i remembered to press the correct lift button but i didn't take the lift on the correct wing. but these were nothing compared to the boo-boo of forgetting the work laptop. it had to be me. SIGH. but honestly, what got to me more was that someone said i was late for work and that i had to end up sitting opposite the deputy director. only one speck of it was factual. i was indeed late if i were to report to work at 8.30am. i hadn't been on time for a long time now. i reached the office probably slightly before 9. and i was the first to occupy one corner of that stretch of work desks to be shared by whoever didn't get to choose where to sit because they're late. if someone wanted to twist the story, why didn't they say the superior chose to sit opposite me? what's so bad about sitting amongst people not considered to be my peers by virtue of rank?
