i really like this top. it costs almost as much as the jeans i'm eyeing. 2 packages are already on their way to me....

the irony is that uniqlo is selling candy-coloured jeans at about 20 bucks only. i don't know if it's a special price for the bugis store. i remember i tried to leave the tokyo store with a pair of jeans. i think they're skinnies and boy was it frustrating getting in and out of them. was it because they're not stretchable and the fabric's harder? these details i can't recollect.
i've been liking some 'jeans' by vero moda. they cost $22 a pair; probably sale price, that's why i bought them in the first place. didn't realise it's a danish label. so is vila. what's stopping me from bagging these right now is the steeper prices. yes, i consider it expensive when i have to pay more than $30 for a dress. incidentally, the price points the local blogshops adopt are within this range. and then there's gmarket that goes cheaper than that. i tried to buy some cheap denim jeans last night with no success.
what's great about shopping online is that some sites are one-stop shops, offering many labels in one place. i don't know if i'm getting a worst deal than if i go to a physical store. even so, i usually go straight to the sale sections first. ditto for online shopping (but of course, right). i got almost all of last year's christmas gifts online, even the local products. i did try to do the physical hunting but it's frankly a waste of time. whereas online, i was spoilt for choice, but i was able to nail down some cool stuff which i would want even for myself. also, i'd like to think they're more unique than the stuff at the stores.
i think i do enjoy shopping at the malls. but only when my buddy's with me. yeap, that's it, really.
