risk management

The older we get, the more we see risk as something that might have a direct effect on us. In our twenties we take extraordinary risks with our lives, our careers, and our finances. Nothing will happen to us. In our thirties, we take fewer financial risks but we still think we are physically bulletproof. By the time we reach our forties (if we haven't taken too big a physical risk and been killed) most of us have a mortgage and our career had become very important, so we take fewer financial and job risks.
