^granny galore!
^geek chic!
if i were to write a tribute about my ma, i'm not sure i can come up with many lines. not that i'm not grateful... if you ask me to give one word that describes my ma, that's a feat as well. she's all of those one-words. and possibly more. she's not the perfect ma. but she's perfect enuf for me. i really cannot have asked for more.
^that's me with my ma, circa 1985
this is a sad tune but only if you consider the context. i picked it as the post title from my memory of my ma singing this song during one of the many travels she took us on when we're small. she wasn't singing to us but to the entire tour group, though. lol. she's been singing for a long time. the top photo shows her with her colleagues from school. i think i was taught by all the teachers in there. she put me in an english school one year later. the 2nd photo should be of her with her choir mates.
btw, Adore Vintage is running a photo contest for mother's day and it's open to international readers. the winner will be picked on monday. visit the site for more info. sounds so fun! i've sent in my entry!
happy mother's day to all selfless mothers in the world :)
