the niece was cranky last sunday. i was kept busy trying to ease her frustration. we were almost getting ready to go home after church service when she finally fell asleep. so my SIL suggested we 打包 breakfast and then head somewhere to park and eat our 'black' fried carrot cake while the princess got her beauty shuteye.
it's been a while i had the sinful dish. so shiok to have it while it's steamy hot. and it's by 'chance' that i got to the stall which does it traditional - there's the black version only, no white one. and you could add prawn or pork for a buck more. our plain ones cost two bucks. the amazing thing was that i had no idea which stall to go to. i remember there're a few lined up in a row somewhere but i couldn't find them that day. so it's really like a miracle that i simply walked up to the end of one certain row to find this stall. i didn't have to wait long either.
my SIL drove us to this estate near jalan jurong kechil. she said she's been wanting to check the place out. i too enjoy going around looking at houses. this one above is interesting. it's right at the end of a no-through lane. do you see any gate? that's what got me curious. then it's the colour of the walls. my SIL said it could be an office building. i'd love to work here. i'll just cycle to work every day.
taking care of princess was a breeze the rest of the day. and oh she's so cute. she woke up before we started on our breakfast. she just sat there and didn't make any sound. maybe it's cos the shutter's down? we learnt something new as she moved onward under our Lord's loving care.
