i've been on the hunt for something that could double or triple up as coffee/side table or chair or footrest. is it even possible? me and my friends were laughing over how the older generations would surely berate us for such an idea. ha ha.
tufted surfaces are actually a nightmare, yes? i could custom-make an ottoman to go with my stainless steel armchairs but that'd cost quite a lot. i already paid two arms for the chairs. and i think i should tone down the steel bit already. so i thought i should get a legless ottoman, either square or round, to use as a side table, or to sit on. am more gravitated towards the round shape.
i also think i should get at least one footrest. i believe i've actually found an affordable one but i didn't really like the aztec-sorta-print and the wooden legs. it's not that i don't like aztec; it somehow doesn't go very well with the armchairs. is $79 considered reasonable anyway? an alternative is for me to reupholster it but that'd mean i end up paying just as much, right?? the other definite cheap alternative is one of those stools meant for children. i'd go for neon yellow. rad much? lol.
oh and i haven't mentioned if i want a long bench or ottoman to function as a table for the armchairs. i saw a plain shelf-less acrylic table at muji; it's not quite as long as i'd like, but i have a vivid idea in my head how i could place it, so i'm quite excited i just feel like buying it first. anyway, it's also cos it's not expensive, think it's under $50.
it's june ALREADY, btw. catch you catch me soon.
