so i went to watch An Education yesterday. i contemplated whether to blog about it. i'm afraid i don't have much to say.. i mean, i have some thoughts about the film but i'm not sure if they're all rubbish. i don't know if it's coincidental that i didn't read up about the film ahead of the viewing. do you do that? you'd risk having your experience clouded, no? but don't we all check out reviews of upcoming movies before we decide whether to catch them or not? oh, wait. so the synopses have to be written in such a way that they don't give the entire story away. or even if they do, the write-ups cannot decide for us how we feel about the movies? you see how unsure i am about what to think. maybe i'd like to be normal and think like most. or maybe i'd like to see past the normal so that i think unlike most. but i'm not a film buff to begin with. what can i bring to the table for people, people who most likely have seen more movies in half a lifteime than me in one lifetime. then again, there's this thing about knowing too much: it can backfire. what do you think about my thoughts so far?
so when you want to read credible reviews, who do you consult? is Rotten Tomatoes one of them? with such a name for the site, i didn't think so. lol.
the guy's named David. and the girl's Jenny. the guy two-timed the girl. too many coincidences. lol.

I don't google about a movie I plan on watching but I can't really help it if the trailer came on the telly. But I'm definitely the sort who doesn't read reviews.
I'm looking forward to An Education actually!
